Didn't look at lowfers overnight here, but as Doug indicates the
conditions were good for LF. Early on the usual Caribbean NDBs were
present (CBC, Grand Cayman, 415 kHz; SPP, San Andres, Columbia, 387 kHz;
BOG, Bogota, Columbia, 340 kHz). Copied WD2XSH/38 to the east on 475.318
kHz QRSS3, but not well. The Bermuda DGPS station on 323 kHz was in
their too but not well enough to decode. In the early morning hours
Canadian NDBs way up north and west rolled in, like RB, 350 kHz,
Resolute Bay, NU; ZF, 356 kHz, Yellowknife, NT; MM, 388 kHz, Fort Mc
Murray, AB; and at just 15W JW, 388 kHz, PIGEON, AB. So, it wasn't
surprising that a bit before local sunrise (1142Z) the Kodiak, AK Navtex
station decoded on 518 kHz.
