WE2XGR/3 is transmitting CMSK31 on 506.800 kHz with 300 watts this
evening until 0230Z. The message is longer than usual, to see how easy
(hard) it is to get complete copy. Reports are always welcome.

Sorry no copy Tuesday evening on 506.800KHz CMSK31. I was not able to
detect even a trace of the signal buried in the static level. Static has
been
pretty high in the Southeast with constant levels around 10-20 over S-9
nightly.

I have not been able to copy WD2XSH/7 CMSK31 the last few evenings also due
 to
static levels. I can hear /7 weakly by ear but it is mostly covered up with
 static QRN.

It looks like now that we are at near-summertime static levels again the
only thing that is going to
make it to the Southeast reliably will be QRSS. I have had many examples of
 solidly copying a QRSS
signal last summer, then have to disconnect the receiver because an
approaching
storm was getting too close!
