Hi Kurt,

The coil form is a chunk of plastic water pipe I scrounged from in town when they where upgrading
some water mains.  It's about a foot in diameter and as the picture shows, I've drilled a lot of 1 inch
holes in it to 1) reduce the weight, and 2) to reduce form losses.  As to the material, I don't know for
certain, but it passed the microwave oven test.  HDPE, PVC,...?
