Paul:

Open the file menu, and find " Periodic Actions ", choose that,
and at the top of the pop-up window you will see the boxes where
you enter the time you want Spectrum Lab to capture. I use;
From: 00:00:00  To: 23:59:59  In the interval box, tell it how
often you want it to capture in hours, min, sec.  On the left side
of the window, " check " the ACTIVE box so it will start capturing,
Then at the bottom, click APPLY, then OK and you're up and running.
Spec Lab will save the captures in the Spectrum Lab folder, mine is
in the program files..
