[Lowfer] Measuring inductors

I have both the Boonton 260 and Heathkit q meters. Also the AADE LCM.

For a homemade qmeter and discussion go to Lloyd Butler's site- google VK5BR.

Heath QM-1s appear on ebay occasionally. Nice instrument and not as
fragile as the Boonton.

I have had a lot of trouble with unknown torroids. Mini ring core
calculator is a good program, free download. You can wind sample coil
and back calculate the core values.
