Thanks John,
That's a nice old boatanchor looking piece of gear!! It will fit in well in
my shack I will keep my eyes open for one .Im already planning for next
years "lowfer" season . Im building up a new class E xmtr and want to try my
hand at a vertical
Instead of the loop. I was trying to wind my new tank coil and wasn't happy
with my little test oscillator. That bridge will come in handy for my loading
coil and antenna when I get to it.

   Thanks Again !

         Rick "PBO"

Rick,

Inductors are best measured at the frequency at which they will be used.
The old Boonton Q Meters do this well. But an RF impedance bridge will
allow very accurate measurements on coils, capacitors, antennas, etc.
Here's a picture of my old friend, the General Radio 516C:

The GR RF bridges turn up occasionally on eBay, but not all are suitable
for LF work. The 516C and 916AL are two to look for, but they are the
least common. Note that the common GR 650 and 1650 bridges are for audio
frequency use.
