No no nails in this one - this is a cantilevered roach pole with the eprobe at the top, and a 2 liter bott of water at the bottom to maintain balance - and roped 3/4 the way down - the lot hoisted up over a high branch and the top of the probe sticks out of the top of the tree by about 1m...wind dependant!

Nice - thanks Lawrence - just measured 15 amps at the loop- and the dc input is 200 watts.
Loop very stable - no tuning require for past month - rain, cool, huge winds, and heat (90+ F).
I assume you are using the infamous E probe hanging in the pecan tree -
and not a nail into the pecan tree as per the other famous "tree antenna " ?
