 Hi Andy,

Thanks for the screenshot and for looking! Im pleased with that considering
the beating my TX and loop have taken the past 2 weeks.I had to dig the TX
box out of the snow 2 weks ago and then we had a wicked ice storm which has
caused my loop to sag.I need to get out and check the loop current this
weekend. We are getting wickedwinds right now and forecast calls for 50 mph
! And yes ; my loop is oriented east/west.
I am also having television woes but they are being generated from my
neighbors somewhere.Ihave my grabber parked on VLF right now to monitor and
log the noise when Im away from the shack(IPOD TOUCH PORTABLE! ) Something
has really been messing things up the past week .Its 60hz and its wiping
out the whole VLF spectrum . It shows up around dinner time and ends 12:30
am local time. Guess a neighbor put a new noise generator on the air.Oh
well.

Overnight captures revealed a complete call sign sequence. It is no where
close to welding goggles strength in intensity, but going way beyond my
expectations, the signal from " PBO " did come thru 3 times. The attached
capture may not look like much, but consider the following clipped paragraph
I sent to Rick earlier today, and you'll see why I think it is a good catch:

Last night I tried to snag PBO again.. I have sent the best screen capture
of the night, and as you can see from it,the signal appears to be very
weak.. That is NOT the case however. I had a strong TV carrier about 75 Hz
from you, and it was running S-9 +5 dB in a 2.4 KHz BW.. and in a
500 cycle BW, it was an S-7.. A few cycles away from it, and my average
noise was an S-3.. That's a 24 dB QRM to contend with, and for your signal
to even make it thru that was fabulous !! And needless to say; if you were
on a different frequency, you would have probably been " dog bone-ing "
Spectrans AGC...And, if I remember correctly; you are using a loop antenna,
and it isn't pointed in my direction either, so; all things considered; It's
a big deal to receive your signal !!!

Last nights attempt for " PBO " was the worst TV interference I have
encountered.. My family is SUPER patient with me and all my ham radio stuff,
so I sometimes just " deal with it " when it comes to interference from the
2 TV's in the house. For the most part there is no problem due to the
extensive filtering I have done on every electronic device in the home, but
there is still the occassional frequency where it just can't be gotten rid
of, and the 500 KHz region is the nastiest for interference here. That's why
I don't do much 600 meter listening..

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, and may the DX fairies bless you with
mileage never before encountered... 73 all:
