Hi Dave,
Thanks for the info.   Nice of you to call the station and do a follow up.

I guess it goes to  show hobby listeners listening to a band aurally can
find and help solve  problems that might go unnoticed by automated
systems. Someone with a  teleprinter receiver might never notice a 
dead carrier being on the air all  the time.
