Been copying them for at least 15 years. (I cannot remember if I copied
them earlier than that but possibly did).

Multipsk in 85 Hz shift mode will copy them fine even though it is a 50 Hz
shift.
I also (and for a much longer time) use an Infotech M8000 multi-mode decoder
(company no longer exists). This is a hardware device.

I have never been able to copy any MSK on VLF in the clear. I did also copy
the SAC SLFCS stations in Hawes, CA (37.2 kHz) and Silver Creek, NE (on
29.5, 34.5, and 48.5 kHz) with same format traffic (EAMS) but those stations
disappeared years ago. Those stations also used MSK as well as the 50 Bd
FSK. In fact, the SAC stations even once used 5 Bd (not a typo) Baudot FSK
in the same format which some mistook as encrypted cw. I copied that mode
with a surplus ink/paper tape recorded and hand decoded the result. I
also copied a defense contractor doing a test with 50 Bd/50 Hz on several
frequencies between 25 and 50 kHz years ago. I called them and they
inserted my name and thanks into the transmission.
