 Thanks Steve !
 I guess I don't get out well to the north and south . I should do some
field strength tests. 
If I can find a way to hide a vertical and a few hundred feet of ground wire
from my xyl , Id put up a vertical. Until then; Im stuck with a loop in the
trees .I wasn't active on LF when I bought this nice little house in the
woods!
