Interesting to compare notes.
Surprisingly there's no trace of NWC 19.8 kHz so far tonight ...which is unusual as it's normally
always in at this time. VTX is beginning to fade (the opening is fairly short) and JXN fired up
since that screen shot and is painting a thick red line. The Alphas are all in the red now as well.
Been trying for a JJY evening reception for a couple weeks but so far little joy. It's starting to
pop out of the noise but I think an evening ID may be elusive.
Tacamo just fired up ... http://www.w1vd.com/capture/VLF020811A.gif .
Noise is a real problem ... I'm lucky to have a 'natural' noise floor most of the time ... although
it did require a number of noise mitigation techniques. There is a noise source thats pops up once
or twice a day but only hangs around for 20 - 30 minutes. It's not locally generated and is of short
enough duration I haven't been able to DF it down.
