Last nights propagation was some of the best I can recently recall.
Of course, since putting my beacon on the air; I do more transmitting
than I do listening. However; This is the first time I have ever been
able to decode " TAG " in the early evening. Typically, my best
1750 meter reception is from 2 am to sunrise. On 2/7 - 2/8/2011,
reception was good starting at 8 pm EST when I started listening, and
got better as the night progressed.. There are a few lowFER beacons
that I have much difficulty receiving for various reasons, and " EAR "
is one of those signals.. Last night however was the best I have ever
copied J.B.s beacon signal.. After decoding " TAG " and " SJ ", I
put the radio on 188.830 KHz, and " EAR " was rolling in right away.
Copy was still spotty, so I left it on overnight, and was surprised
when I looked at the captures this morning. From about 11 pm EST to
local sunrise at 7:15 am, " EAR " was almost solid copy, All Night !!
Nights with that kind of rewarding propagation don't come around too
often, It was sure nice to be there when it did...

73 all, and have a good day:
