Subject: [Lowfer] Warming up in SMT-HELL tonite
Running on a more powerful power supply for the radio, and hoping
that it will help the radio be more frequency stable. The other
power supply wasn't quite stought enough at 3 amps, so a 30 amp
supply should do the trick... So far the rig has already peaked,
and starting to settle within about 20 minutes versus a couple of
hours. It still needs to heat up for a few more minutes so I can
set the frequency. I will set it at the usual 186.150 KHz +/- any
drift which remains to be seen with better power.
Barring a power outage, it will be on overnight. Decent view in a
QRSS-20 window, better in a QRSS-30 window, and best in QRSS-60
if the drift will minimize so the signal will stay in the window.
