Doug:

Aside from the static; try a short listen on 184.320 KHz and see if QRN is lower..
That is the original frequency I started out on, and I have 2 OSC. chips to put me there.
If the PLC's etc, are not there, I can change frequency... Thanks for listening, AND;
considering the static levels, " Hearing " the signal is an exciting report.. You heard the
CW last year on Oct. 23rd, so this is pretty good.. Lightening map shows a front to the
south of me, so you are looking right into the lightening static... 73, look forward to
any report from you: - Andy

Hey Andy. Took the wife Jeeping this morning, so am just now sitting down to
listen. I hear you, but that's about all I can say. The only way I can make
out the ID is because I know you are sending XR. Unfortunately, the static
levels are pretty high right now, and I have a strong PLC about 100 Hz from
you. Using my 250Hz CW filter and creative use of the twin PBT, I am able to
narrow that to about 50Hz. Let me play around some with Spectrum Lab to see
if I can pull out a readable ID. Wish I had one of Steve Ratzlaff's super
narrow audio filters right now.
