"XES was on from 0000 to 0600Z."

That would explain the later absence of signal. That's about when I got
done working with photos and headed back out to the farm.

Last night was the anniversary (at least by lunar calendar) of when I began
the detailed layout of the antenna farm, so it was a kind of celebration.
The work during last April's full moon involved sighting the north star from
my chosen starting points in the corner of the acreage, thereby establishing
the north-south lines that everything else is now referenced from. I had
already been able to confirm the accuracy of those lines during the winter,
when the vegetation died and I could finally measure between them and the
known property line. None the less, it was most gratifying last night to
position myself south of the antenna and watch Polaris and my center stake
along the north boundary of the plot be occulted simultaneously. As with
most special occasions these days, though, I mainly celebrated by sleeping.
There's not much for me to do when Argo is running for a couple of hours, so
the good news is that it was very peaceful out there and I'm fresher today
than if I hadn't slept. The bad news is, my car is not the best place to
sleep if I wish to be agile and limber the next day. :)
