[Lowfer] Rycom 3121B SLM question

Hi Folks
Got a tech question about the Rycom 3121B SLM. In the upper right corner of the meter is a BNC marked counter. Is this an output of a freq related to where the analog tuning dial is parked. Or in other words will I see freq on the counter BNC that corresponds to where I'm tuned. At some point I hooked a counter up to the BNC and got nothing. The counter I used is suspect and half the time I can't get it to read anything.
