Hi All:
I haven't ever tried the QRSS setting in MultiPSK Ver. 4.18 before.
So tonite, I looked for Pat - XSH/6 in QRSS-10 mode. The audio
input levels are a little bit sensitive, basically, I found that
for best performance, the levels had to be around 1 or 2% .
Once I found the best audio level; the QRSS signal graphed out
beautifully, then came the surprise to me: Not only does it
graph the signal, but it also decodes the signal into text !!!
I started seeing /6 showing up in the received text screen.
That's pretty cool. Since this is the first time I have ever
tried the QRSS mode, I don't know how well it could decode a very
weak QRSS signal, under noisy conditions, and print the text.
That would be an interesting experiment some night with a signal
that isn't so strong here. It's nice to learn something I didn't
know about the software I have been using for a while already.
