Hi all:
I caught a couple of beacons on the low end of 160 meters tonite.
One was on 1.799 MHz, ID - 4KDE , and the other was on 1.800 MHz,
ID - 4QSY . Both in CW at about 10wpm with 5 Min. ID intervals.
Bouys ??? Quick GOOGLE showed nothing, I seem to remember reading
about fishing net bouys, and channel bouys that use CW beacons to
provide coordinates ?? And in the case of the fishing bouys, to
help the boats find their nets. Don't know; just heard them..
