I see that Bill has responded to your email - and I should add the following - with credit to Bill:
See the attached file -and Step 2 in selection of conductors - and multiple conductors.
I assume you noted the two parallel #10 wires are in parallel - like an open-wire transmission lines - but are connected together at the feed points into the tuner. So I guess the dc resistance is effectively cut in half - compared to a single conductor through the trees.
