[Lowfer] Proposed Beacon " XR " Top Hat: A Bust !!

Well, I can't say that I didn't expect the wind load effect.
While walking across the yard with it, It felt like I had
a drag chute from a funny car behind me. And, when I came home
from work today, the " Verrryy " light breeze we had today, had
whipped it around all over the place, and it was leaning over.
SO !! I do at least have the experience to be able to say,
I tried that, and it won't stay up.... I trimmed it down to
just the strip around the perimeter, and 4 strips in addition
to the 4 pipes holding it up. The wind isn't really affecting
that much. That's about the best I will be able to do.
The utility company cut the ropes I was using to hold up the
big top hat I previously had because I had them tied to the
power poles, and on WED. my wife told me that a Charter Tech.
stopped by and told her to tell me to take the 2 twine ropes
down that I have going across the CATV line holding up my
HF antenna. At least he didn't just cut them down. He told my
wife that he has friends who are hams, and he knows how much
time, and effort goes into the antennas, and asked me to take
them down instead of him just cutting them. So; the story goes;
I have to use a much inferior top hat for the lowFER antenna,
And; come up with some way to get the HF antenna back up.
Kinda looking like a fence post driven into the ground a couple
of feet, and drop a couple of sticks of spliced PVC pipe down
over it. Too many utility lines around here, and all of them
right in the only places I can run long antenna wires. I hope
to get something put up for the HF antenna this weekend.

well, 73 all:
