Hi Jay,
I just corresponded with Bill a few days ago. He just got back from a  
family reunion and plans 
to take a look at his transmitter board this week. 
 
He told me 2 or 3 weeks ago that he went to check on his beacon in the  
outdoors enclosure
and that it was covered with mud-daubers. He said it was a wonder it was  
still working.
 
He is not sure if he can clean up the board or may decide to rebuild it  
with a new board so
don't know how long that will take. He said he will let me know what he  
finds out and I will
pass the news on to the Lowfer list.
 
I told him it might be a good idea to place a bunch of mothballs around his 
 transmitter
in the outdoor enclosure. Might help to keep the mud-daubers away!
