Andy and Todd,

Perhaps the reason Todd doesn't copy your beacon the entire daylight 
period is related to your terrain, which is mountainous, at least over 
some of the path. I normally copy EAR and MP (when it was at the 
watering hole) all day here using QRSS30, slow and an e-probe antenna. 
Apparently, Mitch (MP) copies my beacon on the reverse path also. The 
path lengths are 575 and 597 km, respectively, but they're over a fair 
amount of water and no "mountains".
