The lightning map at http://thunderstorm.vaisala.com/explorer.html only
showed activity far away in AZ/NM last night but it was pretty noisy in
NE IL. Nonetheless, XGJ came through well with reduced power on 137.7798
kHz, QRSS60, slow, 0300Z-0430Z. MP was in there weakly as well at 137.38
kHz.
Moving to the lowfer watering hole, only XR was found sending "S" with 3
minute dits on 185.2986 kHz along with local SIW at 185.2993 kHz. Andy,
if your transmitter can take it and the frequency is sufficiently stable
perhaps you can send the character "O" instead at QRSS-180. That will
result in 9 minute integration periods for each dash. The ARGO software
I have doesn't have a choice slower than QRSS120, but Spectrum
Laboratory can handle almost anything.
