Jay, thanks very much for letting us know SIW is getting out of the back 
  yard. I'm going over to the site later today to replace the variometer 
with one wound completely with 20/40 Litz wire. That should raise the 
ERP a microvolt or two, hi. Still have about 10 ohms of AC resistance 
with the 2.15 mH inductance needed for resonance but can't find 
reasonably priced 175/40 wire to improve on that. Added ground rods to 
each of the 8 radials a couple of weeks ago but that hardly impacted the 
antenna current. I'll check the antenna resistance today to see which 
aspect offers the most potential for improvement.
