Hey Mike: Surprisingly well.. And it's been a lot of fun listening
to it on the hour long drive to and from work every day.. I found out
that I was hearing another NDB underneath " OS " , I had a hard time
determining the exact callsign, becaus on one sequence I would hear
the letter P, and I always seemed to hear the S, but the start of
each sequence always sounded different. I would hear what I thought
was a J, and a couple of time I heard what I thought to be an N.
It really sounded like a keyer gone haywire, when in fact; I was
also hearing NDB " PN " in Ponca City, OK, on the same frequency.
" PN " is 732 miles to the West, and " OS " 847 Miles to the North.
They were buttin heads with each other.
I'm trying a first time experiment with the rig in the house. And to
my surprise, it's working... I am looking for lowFER " PBO " on
187.200 KHz with Spectran, and I opened up Argo on another soundcard
to look for lowFER " EAR " on 188.830 KHz. I set my bandwidth to
2.4 KHz; and Lo, and Behold; " EAR " started showing up on ARGO at
2180 Hz bright and clear. Still no signs of " PBO " yet.. I hope he
still has his beacon running.. Paul - " WMS " mentioned the ability
to look for multiple beacons in the past, but this is the first time
I have tried it.. But it works... Ohhh the possibilities !!
