Ron and others:
740 used to be the national Canadian Broadcasting Commission ( C B C ) station
located just West of Toronto.... clear channel and full power. But, in addition there
was a French CBC station ( 860 kHz ) full power - and both feeding the same tower.
They had quite a matching network - and you can imagine that it was well maintained,
in the hopes of no unbalanced, mismatched and rust connections.
The CBC later gave up the A M slots and went to FM and repeaters.
Renamed the networks CBC1 and CBC2 .
