[Lowfer] AM740 Zoomer Radio

Several years ago, I heard the announcer at AM 740 mention that they were operating at reduced power, because they had some maintenance personnel, up on the tower! I believe that they were replacing failed lighting equipment, but memory failure prevents me from being certain of that.
They still had a good signal, despite the reduced power output, and they were playing great "sounds" (Friday night)
In addition, I have often heard "zoomer radio", during winter afternoons, well before sunset, here in central North Carolina. I have also listened to them, via ground wave, in central Pa., year round.
