[Lowfer] 600MRG> Not a RotoHammer, but a good pilot hole starter

I use here in the desert amongst the caliche piles a unit that is used for deep root watering.  About 3 ft long with a valve and handles on one end.  Apply the water at full force, place the pointed end against the ground and bring up the water pressure.  Wiggle the thing around while pushing down on the handles till it's in as far as it will go.  remove and insert ground rod.  After about 3 feet or so down the action takes on similar actions to what Andy has described.    Every smack with the hammer/sledge it goes in the ground another 1/4 inch.  At least the first 3 feet or so was easy.....
