Well, heck, I forget the suppliers, check a local quarry or cement company, 
see what they have to say.  Kitty litter is made of bentonite, I used to get 
25# sacks at WalMart for $5.

There was a fantastic write-up on using bentonite in CQ-VHF several years 
ago.
