Thanks for mentioning " XR " Garry, I appreciate your report.
I have been mobile a great deal of the day, and mainly listening
to nearby NDB's. Close to the 1:30 pm ( 17:30 UTC ) I noticed a
sudden drop in signal strength of the " MMI " NDB which was
about 6 miles from me. It went from about an S-6 to almost no
meter reading, and was fluctuating wildly, with a " as best as
I can describe it "a Thin- Hollow sound, like it was way off in
the background. When I got back into the studio, and checked my
emails; that's when I found out about the " M " Class Solar Flare.
So, now I know why the sudden drop occured. Hopefully reception
will rebound, without any more flares, for a good receiving
weekend on LF...
