[Lowfer] UWL on

A few details about the short verticle would satisfy my curiousity.
1. is it tubing or wire?
2. What is capacity to ground? How much inductance is required to load?
3. What are the surroundings? ie how close to trees and buildings.
I used to work out well with an 18ft verticle from my camping trailer on 75
meters.
Eric and Lawrence have shown the practicality of less than ideal antennas.
This is good material to recruit new comers to the lowfer bands.
I want to try and shunt feed my HF tower. It is 36 to 40 ft tall with a
Mosely TA33jr on top. It is free standing, bottom section is buried in the
concrete bolted to pipes driven into the soil below the concrete. Any
suggestions as to how to do this would be appreciated.
