Andy , KU4XR , LowFER beacon "XR" and myself , Charlie , W5COV , LowFER Beacon "CV" , are in the process of constructing equipment to allow us to operate WSPR , primarily , and other digital and linear modes on 1750 meters as Part 15 stations .
A picture of my partially constructed transverter is posted on our Yahoo Part15 group , under photos . ( Notice , there is no space between part and 15 , for the name of the Yahoo group )
We would like input from people in the U.S. and especially the European and other DX locations as to what frequency is "quiet" between
160-190 kHz. , for those stations .
While pretty unlikely that we can be copied at those distances , we would like to give it our best shot , so we would like to be on a frequency that is clear of broadcast stations , outside of the U.S.
Any guidance and suggestions that you may be able to give us would be greatly appreciated , so we can setup a frequency to operate WSPR on.
The more input the better !!
Thank you in advance ,
