Cold or not, I couldn't stand it any longer. Having an antenna
down will drive me absolutely nuts !! In an hour and a half,
I had cut limbs out of the way from a ladder against the tree.
Reconnected the wires to the feedpoint, and taped them to
relieve the stress on the wires. Of course lowered the lowFER
top-hat first, then the HF mast, did the repairs, pulled every-
thing back up and tied off the ropes. Now my long run on the
160 Windom is not running thru tree branches. The SWR is down
to a 1.4:1 , and all seems to be working OK. I'm going to run
WSPR on 160 until I leave for work in the morning around 8am.
Set your dial frequency to 1.836.60 MHz - USB. If you get me,
I'll be just above the WSPR 90 dial reading.
Running 5 Watts into the Windom at 32 feet AGL, 33% transmit
