Hi again everyone:
Thanks for the info. so far on the Feedline Isolation Transformer.
Nothing dealing with antennas is ever a simple answer. I honestly
was not aware of the complexity of antenna design, and construction
until experimenting in the Low Frequencies. I hope to get better
understanding as I proceed, and I appreciate the help from everyone.
Now a computer noise observation; I ruled out the onboard video as the
noise culprit. I installed a PCI video card, and the noise was still
there. So I gits this bright idea to " turn off the onboard video "
Hmmmm; well that got rid of the video alright, ALL of the video !!
But that convinced me the noise is not video related as much as I
thought it was. Cleared the BIOS, uninstalled the PCI card, and
went back to the onboard video. ** I'm coming closer to thinking
it's a power supply issue. The noise moves about in frequency;
generally starting out low, and drifting higher over a short time.
It's very broad too. While the computer was on; I tapped on the
power supply case with the handle of a screwdriver to see if the
noise changed indicating a loose conection maybe, nothing there,
So, if it is power supply related; it must be in the circuitry,
changing values as it gets hot with use. It's not a problem at LF
for some reason, but at MW, it's noticable, and at 160 meters and
up, it's 20 to 30 over S-9. More tracking to do !
