Hi Tom:

Yes you can have the best of both worlds. For less than $ 25.00
you can get the K1EL keyer kit. It comes with the chip, and is
programmable with paddles, or push button switches ( my way ).
It has 7 message slots, and can be programmed with a variety of
message combinations in each slot. It will be a worthwhile
investment, and you won't be disappointed with it.
