If you use some care when choosing which message numbers you have programmed for your QRSS message and your I'd message, you can toggle between them by taking a single KID message line high or low.

I have been looking at them for a long while, but never quite figured out what do do about requesting programming.  For qrss on ham bands you want your call at 10wpm after the two or three character qrss ident, and as I understand on part 15 you aren't supposed to use your call sign at all.  Being cheap (uhhh....  frugal) I want all the speeds available with and without my call, but that isn't going to happen.   Suggestions?

And, I am sort of a lurker here.  I listen a lot - some part 15 and also enjoy counting carriers on random AM radio frequencies. Some of the low power guys on the high end of the band above 1600khz are remarkably off frequency, and it isn't unusual to see a dozen carriers (or more) +/- 25hz (or more...)
