I suspect it is due to the increased moisture on and in the grass and
vegetation that is close to the antenna. I see the effect here also,
and it pretty much vanishes when I cut the grass really short. The
antenna field is planted in pasture grass, and if I let it grow wild it
tends to get a couple of feet high. Then the detuning really shows up
at night. The shorter the antenna and the more capacitively loaded it
is, the more the effect, IMO.
