This morning at 0700 local time in Lakeland FL, it was 18 degrees F,
the coldest so far. It's been near or below freezing every night
for almost 2 weeks. I've had a 100w bulb in a heat blanket around
my well plumbing every night, or the water stops. (Couldn't do
that with a CFL bulb ...)

Today's Drudgereport has a link to a UK Daily Mail article saying
we are now in a new cooling regime that will last 25 to 30 years, so
every winter in the next few years here could be like this one.
