Tom,
Thanks for the report. But I screwed up......again :(
Night before last I ran WSPR at +10 dBm. Yesterday evening I posted I would run
at 0 dBm overnight. Instead of making any adjustments to the transverter
settings I just inserted a precision 10 dB attenuator in line. The antenna
wasn't perfectly tuned for the WSPR freq so I turned on the scope attached to
the inline scopematch to tune the antenna. The 0 dBm signal produced a noisy
pattern so I removed the attenuator to get a better display.
This morning after seeing all the reception reports I connected the signal to a
HP436A power meter to verify the exact power to substantiate bragging rights :)
Upon seeing +10.0 dBm on the meter I realized I had failed to remove the 10 dB
attenuator after tuning the antenna.
Sorry for the error :( I may run again at 0 dBm but for this afternoon and
overnight I will go QRO for DX at 20 watts.
Dex
