[Lowfer] Thoughts on MT63-500, 1000

After a bit of confusion last night over the apparent frequency discrepancy in the MT modes, I would
suggest the following...

As is now customary with WSPR one announces a 'dial' frequency and optionally an 'actual' frequency
that is the center of the passband. The receiver is tuned to the 'dial' frequency in USB mode. This
same approach could be used with MT63 modes (and probably should be used with any other mode that
doesn't use the default sound card center frequency - 800 Hz).

The MT63 modes are most likely received in an SSB bandwidth so one would specify a 'dial' frequency
for USB mode. The only thing to keep in mind, is that for MT63-500 the center of the passband will
be 750 Hz above the 'dial' setting and for MT63-1000 the center of the passband will be 1000 Hz
above the 'dial' setting...similar to that found in WSPR where the center of the passband is 1500 Hz
above the dial setting.

Hope this clears up any confusion.

Several stations reported good copy through deep fades with little to no signal showing on the
waterfall. Will be conducting further tests of MT63 in the near future.
