First, thanks to all for the reports.
Unlike other modes where one can set a default center audio frequency (I always use 800 Hz), in MT
the center frequencies for transmit and receive are preordained. For MT63-500 it's 750 Hz and
MT63-1000 it's 1000 Hz and they're not adjustable (as far as I can tell).
>From a transmitting standpoint that means that the center of the transmitted bandwidth will be 50 Hz
low for MT63-500 and 200 Hz high for MT63-1000. That's not a big issue unless you're trying to avoid
interfering with other stations out at the edges...in which case one can adjust the transmitter
frequency accordingly.
On receive 'it makes no nevermind' as long as the receiver is tuned to the advertised transmit
frequency. The bar at the bottom of FLDIGI displays center of the audio passband as 750 Hz for
MT63-500 and 1000 Hz for MT63-1000 - the same as the center of the passband being transmitted.
Going to make one more run of MT63-500 from 0230 - 0300Z.
Jay
