[Lowfer] LF converter, 10 meter radio, hear 600 meters

I would like to ask for someone to do an experiment for me.
Before I purchase the LF converter with a 14 MHz XTALas
Fred had mentioned trying, I would like to be reasonably
sure that the 2nd Harmonic is going to be strong enough to
be detected at 28 MHz.

Will someone who has one of the converters, try listening
to a known signal at your converters 2nd Harmonic, and then
post your results as to whether you can hear the signals at
the 2nd Harmonic frequency ???

I do not have another radio other than the HTX-100 to play
around with, and not really interested in spending the
money to buy a 30 meter kit receiver to try to use the
converter with.

A sidebar question ::::: If I remember correctly, trying to
use one of the EPSON clock oscillators at HF is a No Go due
to Phase noise generated by the oscillator, is this correct ??

Thanks for any help, and 73 to all :::::
