Ralph I agree with Charlie the active antenna/preamp looks like a good
project. Probably be my next one.

Having a grabber close by gives an opportunity to study propagation. I note
I am in your grabber daytime, most days, at 225 miles but Charlie is not.
Nighttime I fade and Charlie comes in at 390 miles or so. I am guessing this
is the c;hange from ground wave to skywave propagation.

I have the pa0rdt mini whip up but the performance is equivalent to my
75meter dipole. Some days one is better that the other but generally the
same. I have had two identical rec and computers running side by side for
comparison. The performance of your whip impresses me. I have a two acre lot
next to mine that is vacant, I may check with the owner and see if I could
remote a whip there.

Thanks for the grabber.
