Propagation was very good again in the LF region on 2/17/2010 in the evening hours. I heard DCF77 by ear again, not quite as strong as on the 13th, but still very good until around 05:00 UTC ( mid-night EST ) when it started to fade out. I tried from about 7:30 pm, until around 11:30pm to get a Clock decode on the Swiss time station " HBG " on 75 KHz, but never could. A nice carrier line was showing on ARGO, but there was just not enough signal level for a decode on MultiPSK Clock. Other notes; as would be expected; WWVB on 60 KHz was exceptionally strong, continuously peaking above S-9. And just for the fun of it, I tried on a longshot to see if I could see a carrier line from Japans time station " JJY " on 40 KHz. I set ARGO for QRSS-120, and let it run from 12:30pm EST until 7:15am. Plenty of visible static crashes, but no " JJY " carrier line was visible. Had fun with it anyway.
73 everyone;
