Hi Garry,
I use a DSP-59+ filter between the receiver and the computer, so for Navtex on 518 I set the rx to 517 and set the DSP for
a centre freq. of 1K and bandwidth 400 Hz. It works well with Navtex Decoder, since it allows you to shift the "window"
anywhere you want within reason. For WSPR and SITOR reception I use the low pass-hi pass feature of the DSP-59+
centered on either 1500 or 1700 and have had good results with solid decodes.
My best 518 Navtex DX to date is Puerto Mont, Chile at around 7000 miles two nights in a row! I'll have to check with the
Google Earth distance calculator to see what the distance to Turkey is. Wm. Hepburn's site has been a mainstay for me
here in my search for interesting signals to copy. I found one in the U.K. that's pretty good as well:

It says it was updated recently, but like everything else don't take it as written in stone. It's a handy reference if nothing
else, to keep on file.
