G500 [600m] 30mW ERP signal received by VK1SV, 251 Km.

Dimitris, VK1SV is using a mini whip antenna.

Mini whip - also known as "magic antenna" is just 3 x 9 cm in size!

See http://www.radiopassioni.it/pdf/pa0rdt-Mini-Whip.PDF

QSB on 600m is actually quite common.

And here is snapshot of Dimitri's VK2AXY signal received at my end
yesterday, G500 with mini whip also:

Finally, here is a snapshot of "big ears" VK2DDI grabber showing my WSPR
signal at 508.100 and ZL1EE at 508.110.

VK2DDI - ZL1EE distance is over 2100 km ! At that time ZL1EE was no copy
at my end.

David VK2DDI is located 120km south of Sydney in rural / hilltop
overlooking Pacific

with basically no noise! His receiver is FT-920 and antenn - also mini
whip !

ZL1EE is running 10W output into 7.5m vertical. In the winter, he copy
ZLs at milliwatt level

even before local sunset. An amazingly quiet radio location!

With added fan I now running G500 in WSPR at 4W output, 100% cycle for
3 days, non stop!

(I did turn it off couple of times due to nearby lightning).

GSDR is stable and Windows Xp on dedicated PC is running flawlessly with
no crashes.

73 and Seasons Greetings to all.
