I'm presently running a grabber on 137 khz where XGJ is displaying a
nice daytime signal here in NC.

The antenna is dual vertical wire in a V shape closed at the top that
goes over an oak tree in the woods about 500 feet from the shack. This
was the single turn loop of field wire that the wires broke leaving the
insulation intact. Instead of restring the loop I just cut the wires
tying the ends together to for the V that is about 45 feet high at the
top. The wire is connected to ground rod with a 10:1 transformer which
isolates the coax. The idea coming from Bill Ashlock's recent tree
antenna comment.
I'll let the grabber run through the day. Maybe longer depending on
activity from Europe this evening.
