[Lowfer] antenna location

Hi Warren,
No, Jack Smith isn't subscribed to the lowfer--I passed the comments on to
him and he happened to be on line and responded quickly.
There's really no difference between the Mini-Whip and any other active whip
as far as the theory of operation goes. It's not a higher impedance antenna
than one using a longer traditional whip. But it is certainly much more
sensitive to mounting height and performs better higher in the air compared
to traditional active whips with much longer whips that can work well only a
few feet off the ground (if in the clear with no nearby objects).
73,
Steve
