[Lowfer] AMRAD E-Field Probe

Guys,
I've been using the AMRAD E-Field probe since since 2001. I have it
mounted on the side of my garden shed which is right next to a Pine Tree.
The antenna itself is about 20 feet up mounted on two 10 foot TV masts which
I have inside PVC pipe for a little additional strength. Over the last 10
years, the tree has grown quite a bit and is starting to surround the
e-field probe. Right now the branches are coming within 2 1/2 to 3 feet from
actually touching the antenna (see link below). Do you think that this is
having any effect? I know that the probe is a very high impedance device and
it likes to be in the clear.
I was thinking about remounting the antenna in a spot where it would be
about 10 feet from the tree at its closest point. Do you think there would
be an additional advantage if I also raised it to 30 feet? This antenna has
worked well over the years, I have copied LowFers: BAT, JC, TAG, BRO, LEK,
NC, XM, WA, TH, SJ, PBO, WMS, MP, SIW, and IO. It also makes a great general
Short Wave receive antenna.

I gotta think about putting something on transmit too.
